Who we are

QuietWealth.news is an independent publication covering investing, real estate, retirement, tax strategy, and personal finance for people who've made peace with the idea that building real wealth is mostly unglamorous. We're not a brokerage, we don't manage money, and we don't sell financial products. We write about how money and markets actually work, and we try to do it without the urgency, hype, or price-chasing that most financial media runs on.

Who we write for

Our typical reader already has a 401(k) or an IRA, already owns an index fund or two, and is trying to make one more good decision — whether that's opening a Roth IRA for a kid's first paycheck, understanding what a Fed rate decision actually does to a mortgage, or figuring out if a side hustle's tax situation is being handled correctly. We write for people who want the mechanics explained clearly enough to make their own decision, not people looking for a hot tip.

How we research and fact-check

Every article on this site is built from primary and authoritative sources: government data and agencies (the IRS, the SEC, the Federal Reserve, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Social Security Administration), companies' own public filings and statements, and established, reputable financial and wire-service reporting. Every figure we cite is sourced, and every article carries a visible "Sources" section linking directly to where that information came from — so you can verify it yourself rather than take our word for it. Our full sourcing and correction standards are laid out in detail in our Editorial Policy, and our Editorial Team page explains how our byline works and how tax, retirement, and estate-planning articles specifically get reviewed and kept current.

We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do, we fix them and say so. Our Corrections page explains exactly how that works.

This isn't personalized financial advice

Nothing on QuietWealth.news is personalized financial, tax, or legal advice, and none of it should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any specific investment. We explain how things work and what the tradeoffs generally are; what you do with your own money is a decision for you and a licensed professional who knows your actual situation, not a website.
