How our byline works
QuietWealth.news is a small, independent publication. Articles are written, edited, and fact-checked by the same small editorial team rather than by individually bylined freelance contributors, so we credit the work to "QuietWealth Staff" or "the QuietWealth Editorial Team" rather than inventing individual reporter bylines for a newsroom size we don't actually have. We think that's more honest than the alternative. This page — not a named individual's bio — is the author page our articles' structured data points to.
Our sourcing and review process
Every article is built from primary and authoritative sources before it's written: government data and agencies (the IRS, the SSA, the SEC, FINRA, the Federal Reserve, the Bureau of Labor Statistics), the actual text of relevant legislation, companies' own filings and statements, and established, reputable financial and wire-service reporting. Each article's "Sources" section links directly to where its figures and claims came from, so a reader can verify anything without taking our word for it.
For tax, retirement, estate-planning, and financial-security topics specifically — the kind of content where an outdated rule or a stale figure can actually mislead someone — we go a step further: those articles carry a visible "Last reviewed" date, and get re-checked against current primary sources (updated IRS thresholds, SSA figures, and so on) whenever the underlying rules change, not just at first publication. We don't have a licensed CPA, CFP, or attorney on staff, and we don't claim one reviewed these articles — what "reviewed" means here is a second editorial pass against primary sources, which we think is a more honest description than an invented credential would be. If you're making a specific financial, tax, or legal decision, that still calls for an actual licensed professional who knows your situation, not this website.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and note it. Our full process, including how substantive corrections are logged and disclosed, is on the Corrections page. Our broader sourcing and independence standards are laid out on the Editorial Policy page.
